Résumé en anglais

During our second year of iut, we have got the opportunity to do a tutored project which deal about the creation of a helicostat simulation. This project lasted 4 month and have been proposed by Mr. Kauffmann and Mr. Laffont . The work have been realized by 4 students, Nicolas Develet, David Martins, Kevin Jabaud and Alejandro Motta Cano.

In this project, we have got some task to complet. The first was to create and model the helicostat himself. The second was to create the simulation in order to reproduce his virtual attitude using a computer.

We've separated the work in five parts. The java application, the android client, the Human–computer interaction & thread, the modeling and the simulation.

The java application consist in a remote control in order to move the helicostat in the simulation. In the application, you’ll have two joysticks which will create data for the simulation in order to perform the right move.
The Android client will have to send the data created by the two joysticks to a server. This last one will send the data to the simulation.
The Human–computer interaction & threads. This part will have to handle the thread part of the server and the graphical user interface of the simulation.
The modeling consist in create and model the helicostat and the environment of the simulation using Blender.
The simulation. This part will take care of the physical principles of the simulation.

In conclusion, we have succeed to complete almost all the tasks. We have got a simulation, the server is working using threads. The heliostat is modeled and the environment too. The application is working. We have got only one thing which have been a failure. We have got a problem by linking the simulation and the server, at the moment when the server send the data received to the simulation.
